ABOUT US

LostPALS was set up in 2018 to support owners of lost and stolen pets in Surrey Heath.

We are a small group, whose membership is by invitation only and is made up of volunteers who come from a variety of backgrounds, but all with experience in helping with missing or lost animals, or animal care and rehabilitation.

We have members from DogLost, Harvey's Army, All About Animals, local Animal Rescue & Foster, Veterinary, RSPCA, Cats Protection, Local Authority, Independent Rescues and more.

We will aid or advise wherever possible, whenever help is needed in lost or stolen pet situations within Surrey Heath Borough.

In May 2018, we were joint winners of the monthly Lightwater Community Group Award for local voluntary organisations, for our work with pet owners in the Surrey village.

SCANNERS

Several of our members are equipped with microchip scanners and on occasion, when a vet is not available, are able to scan a found animal for free, by arrangement. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for assistance.

However, we are not able to take in stray animals, so would always advise contacting a local vet or SHBC Dog Collection service first.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership to the group is by invitation only, but we are always looking for new members, so if you would like to join us please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with details of your field of expertise* and the reasons you would like to join.

* We welcome members from a variety of animal related backgrounds, but also people who are willing to regularly check local social media pages, etc, flag up any animal related issues to our Group and share posts, as well as people who are prepared to offer "boots on ground" help in search situations.

Please note: We are a support and advice group rather than an emergency rescue organisation, so for immediate rescue help, please go to our Rescue page.
